This is how Nika and Wium look on day 5!!! not many kids have this photos of themselves.

Last year on this day was the day, when we did the transfer of Wium and Nika!!

I still remember the chaos of the day.....

I still remember every little detail.....

I still remember the numb-feeling while lying on the theatre bed...

Because we SO DESPRETLY wanted it to work!!!

And now one year one ...who will ever have thought that this is how our life turned out to be!

When the lab-chap send me the 1^st Fodies of my kids....I never think that this is how Nika and Wium will be!!.

One of the ICU sisters said: God took 10 years to make the most beautiful and special babies!! And this is soooo true!!

We just love every moment of being parents to our special babies xxxxx

Last week while I was busy folding up the washing...from the corner of my eye, I saw “ Wiggly-Worm-Wium” ...
He was busy wiggle himself out of the snug and safe, when it tip he slide to the floor and start to laugh.

Very funny for him, for me not at all!! Because it just shows me they getting bigger and you must make sure to put them on a safe place.
They just HATE it when I strap them, but after this strapping-up will be their future!!

Our babies are 5 months old today ( I did think twice...5 months already!! Wow!!)

AGE: Actual- 5 months Corrected age- 3months

Height: have to take them again but they are growing like snakes!! They are so loooonnnnggg.

Weigh; Growing so well. Nika have hit the average weight line and Wium are still a bit under.

Develop notes: They are reaching their millstones for their corrected age and same real age thing too. I am doing so many things with them and I can see how they develop in front of my eye, its super amazing! I am so proud of them.

On the count of 3 , when you have their hands holding they are getting their bodies up and sometimes to the standing position. Nika is better than Wium with this. But they are really getting stronger day by day. They can sit up straight when you hold them and keeping their heads up. They very interested in VERY thing and are following you all day and very thing that passing by. I could not believe when we were watching Luv playing squash , how they follow him.

They smile allot and laugh out loud. Nika is Brrrrrrr like a car (wonder where she is going??? They just laugh it when I am doing funny things, in front of them, they think their mommy is a clown!!. They can grapping toys and very thing you put in their hands.

They love to see new people and things and are getting to know some of my friends that visit us often.

Eat: They still on just milk and will start solids much later. They have NO routine they just drink when in need!. They not drinking their whole formula for the day , but are picking up weight

Sleep: they don’t like to sleep!! Me two!! I am struggling to get them to sleep during day time. When I got them down, and think NOW I can do stuff after 15 minutes you see a hand or foot moving , and them they UP!!! For hours!! And they scream because I must sit with them and do stuff which they just love. At 5-6 they will drink and then we bath and they will go to sleep at 8 o’clock.

Then we have our things happing. They will they NOT wake once till Nika 5 o clock ( so from 8 till 5!) and then half pas 6 again Wium will wake 3, 5, 7, sometimes he will just wake to play ( I want to scream then) but then I just leave him in the cot.

They love watching us in the morning getting ready for the day!!

So at 5 months they still adorable and I just love every second with them!!!!

Last night I was doing bath time all on my own with both babies on the same time!! I was running like a speeding horse, they was thinking it was very funny!! Mommy with some bells between her teeth to keep them busy while dressing them!!

What a nice weekend this was!!! The last 2years was so full of driving around and when weekends hit we just crawl into our cave and relax...so we did not get much time for all of our friends.

But this weekend I saw so many of my old friends!!!!

Saturday we went to a 1^st Bday party ( yes still funny to go to this events and sitting there with babies, feels a bit weirdy.) Always nice to see other babies and to see that our little ex-premmies are not far behind, sometimes even ahead! ( must be all the mommy-attention)

When we hit home we met with friends from our previous living home town, how nice to chat and seeing each other again.

And yesterday a bunch of “other old friends” hit our house.... with their kids, the kids boyfriends, just the dogs that miss the party!! The twins were not on their own once, there were just so many babysitters!!

This was so nice and I just reminder how much we miss out the last 2 years. We have had such a good time and so much laughter. It just pep me up, for the week ahead!!!

Since we got married, I made a “collage” with some of the memorable photos of what happen that year. Its very nice when I you look at it, a whole years memories is jumping to you. On my walls I just put the last 9 years and as I put a new year on the wall the older ones I put in a book. I have my own rules and that was each year the collage, must be hanging before 1 off March, and so it happen each and every year. So after many years and when we sit in an old aged home we can look through the book and think...

What a wonderful life we lived!!!!!!

I love doing stuff like this, BUT.. the past 2 years was super hectic and there was just NO time.

So it is with must ashamed, that I need to tell you...today the 23th February I have just finish the collage of ......drum roll!!!!!!

2010!!! Yes you are reading it.....2010!!!! I feel like a dummer, but there was just NO time between IVFFING!!

Now I am in it, so maybe 2011 ( last year) will soon follow, actually I think I can just put a pic of Nika and Wium in it.

A friend of mine is busy doing an IVF right now, and although I have my own babies now I still have friends who is busy with their TTC journeys and I am still following their stories and hopes for the future.

I have been so many years busy with it, that now with my friend, it’s like dealing with it, feeling her feelings and having her hopes.

I was waiting for her day 1, counting the day till day 8, waiting to hear how many follicles she have, nerving-up for the retrieval of the eggs, waiting for the call of how many eggs...

And from the moment I have heard that they have start, All I can think of is PLEASE LET THIS BE IT FOR THEM, PLEASE!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!

Its the one thing you so badly want it, to be!! And it is the one thing you have NO control over. It is out of your hands you can just, HOPE.

I wish I was a fairy with a magic wand, who can give babyless-women babies!!

Sometimes I wish I can let disappear all the heartache, sorrow and tears of so many women out there...

We went away for my Birthday....and it was so relaxing!! My Birthday was totally different from ALL the others, in the past I was busy baking and making stuff, having friends over, chatting the night through.

This time I was running and baby-bunning around making bottles, do feeding, patting babies to sleep, changing poo-panties so diffently, but still I just Love the chatting on the phone the whole day with all the friends and family.

The weekend at the beach we did nothing!!! Just sitting in our PJ’s all the time and sleep and eat...thats life!!!

...and a year ago I was on day 3 ...Suro-sus already a month on her Lucrin-fix...and we were making ready for our LAST and FINAL suro attempt.

Funny how my whole world has change after this...never think you know how the dice will fall...

Today is my 38th Birthday!!! and the happiest one ever in a long time. If you look in the pic above you will see the BEST PRESENT....a family!!! and its not a dream.

Since I was 27 I was thinking every Bday that pass, maybe the next one I will have a baby, and then.....empty dreams.

the last 5 Birthdays I was thinking it will never ever happen, and look now...

I am a ancient mommy, with a body to "not die for"( all the hormones have knock me up.) droopy boobs and lots of grey hair!!

but I just LOVE to be 38!!!!!

Lately I don’t get any free time to do things around me....the twins want ALL MY ATTENTION!!!

They want me to do things with them all the time, they just love it and go totally mad the minute I say...”what are we going to do now” the excitement on their faces are priceless!!!!

The Playroom is slowly, very slowly getting into shape!!! Hope it will be finish, before they finish school.

They are getting more adorable day by day!! Nika are defiantly before Wium in all the things they do, but Wium are the more reckless one of the two.

5 o’clock is still the best time of day when the twins, DADDY arrive...

Wonder how you get both babies to sleep on the same time.... one in your arms and patting the other one with your leg...you can just think the leg musles I will have when they grown-up.

Because my house are more and more looking like a playroom and more and more kids stuff are filling my house....I have decided..

We need a room for all these stuff!! So we think that are “braai room” which we mostly use in winter time will be ideal!! Half of the room we can put a carpet in, do black boards on the doors, and have boxes with all the kids toys in it. Then when other kids and when mine is older they can play and mess up that room and not my lounge like now!!!

I have had this plan for awhile, so what happen if you have plan, you just leave that room , because you going to change it soon, and sooner than later ITS A MESS.

This weekend me and Luv decided its now or never!!!!! And repaint the room, easier said than done. Now we have 2 little attention seekers that don’t want their parent s to paint on a weekend!!!

Have to say it was not our best job done, but we finish the paint, though changing poo-pants, feedings and some playtime!!

...at the end of the weekend... job done, will show you some pic’s when finish the whole room!!Who said if you have babies you have no time for extra things that need to be done?????

I know I need to get to bed....but I can always scratch her and there and just don’t get to bed.....and I am on duty tonight and if you have twins sleep is utterly important , but I am a scratcher... always was.... like a hen.... sleep is not important to me.

The twins are getting so big now, they not like babies anymore and that is shocking!!!!!! And because I miss that I am browsing through their pic’s just to have a peek at how small they were.... and it was so small!!

This weekend I was really seeing forward to the party of my brother’s son, but on Friday we got a call...his kids both have baby measles. So we cancelled!!! What a bummer!!! I was so seeing forward to see Suro-sus and her kids.

I know baby measles are not that bad to have, but my babies are doing so great now, have not been sick and that’s a bonus. And after all the people always telling you , why did you not go..... go and have a look.....they all work and don’t look after their kids during day time. The baby sitter is sitting with their feverish kids.

I love jokes but I think to have 2 feverish babies.....not a joke.

So we went to my MIL, yes the one that in 8 years only visit us 3x times for 10 minutes ( remember we did not have kids!) why mind us.

My teeth are grinning through..... When they sleep she will talk loud to them , because she wants to talk to them.....yes waking them.. When I finally get them to sleep with the favourite bunny in their arms, she will jump up and grap it out of their arms , because SHE THINKS they don’t like it. You can just think I was going through the roof!! If I am burping one baby and the burp is coming out SHE will say “ my burping was better and louder!”

As you can see I was the weekend in a competition with my MIL.

Me that is with my twins 24/7 knowing every single thing of them with my MIL WHO JUST KNOW EVERYTHING AND IS THE BEST IN JUST EVERTHING!!!!

Shame my poor little babies!!!!

When life is not always working out like normal and different things need to be done to full your dreams.....its funny how many totally assholes are outside there in the world!!! Poor idiots!!

Me and Suro-sus was talking about it now. Infertility treatments, how it work and that it is not always in everybody’s understanding, but them ask!!! If you don’t know. DOnt go out there with your own stupid, off the ball ideas about things you have not a clue about.

AI, IVF’s, ICSI’s and donors.... blab la, is sometimes not even understandable for those going through it, but then you get to Suro’s

I know when we start at alot of our friends ask us ( you can ask me anything, nothing is personal anymore) how it work. All the whats, whos, how’s?????

And one thing that stood out was.....WHO’S BABIES ITS GOING TO BE????????? WHO’S DNA WILL IT BE?????

HoW does it work and I loved it to tell everybody the whole process and why its NOT my sis eggs and MY EGGE AND its Love’s sperms. And for those reading this and don’t know the how’s....here it is, in a short version.

The doc’s put sus in a menopause .....that means they stop her to make her own eggs. To do that she enject her with hormones. Then the doc’s put me on a programme to start stimulate my egg-production ( its with hormonal injections and hormone pills) because we need my eggs for my own babies.

Then on a certain day in my cycle we both went to the clinic, they do a scan to see that there is NO-HIDE-AND-SEEK-EGGs in suro-sus, ( we don’t want to have any surprises... the doc’s check it double with menopause and scans , you see) because if there is any eggs, it will mean that it can be her baby-egg at the end.

She is also in a menopause because did you think what will happen if she and her husband do the wacky-panky-LOVE-DANCE.....and she is not in a menu pause and the doctor don’t check her with a scan and we do the IVF????? Yes brain-box!!!! It can be her and her dear husband babies we are sitting with!!! Disaster!!!! Like Catrina in Orleans!!!

If they see she is clear they start checking my eggie follicles!! When they see my egg follicles are the right size I got in injections to let my eggs loose....

Then on the day of Egg retrieval I went in to theatre, knock-out and doc is taking position between my legs and with a catheter with a needle in front... go through my VAA-GI-NAA to where the let loose eggs are floating....its all microscopic!!! Before hand if they have seen maybe 17 egg follicles, when t I woke they will tell me we have found 11 eggs, Now you wonder where the rest disappear???? Did the doc see I am this wonderful-stud??? Or did they take some of my eggs to sell on the black market????? No they did not. Not all eggs are mature right or not all the follicles have an egg in, yes you get dud’s even me have some, we all normal.

When I am in theare Luv is ask to do his sample, in |Afrikaans its call a “monster” Have you ever see a monster in a bottle?????Funny I know!!!

When they got my precious harvest eggs in a Petri-dish they through Luv’s wonderful sperms in and nature take place in a bottle) Yes we are the 2000!!! Designer-stuff are happening right under your nose and you did not ever know about it. .

I will then phone in and the lab-rat who will give my report on the eggs?? I’ve got brilliant eggs they have a report!!! Then on day 3 or 5 or what look best for doc, they will phone us telling suro-sus to stop being in a menu pause- stop being an old lady , girl!! They need her young body for pregnancy. Then we will go to theatre. Sus will get on the bed with a FULL BLADDER ( its the worse of it all). Doc’ taking his front seat between the legs ( to put embies back, it is not a zip-in –zip-out story!!. I know Sus wish there could be zips on her belly, but NO. Science needs to catch up!!!! Soon!

With a catheter they go through sus VAA-GI-NA and put the embios in her uterus. After words they check to see that the embryos did not get stuck in the tubes of the catheter ( that will be a waist) With the embies on board, the doc’s team wishing us like and pray to not see us again, please let it work!!! Sus need to lay for an hour flat on her back at the clinic.

What will she do this hour????????? She will hope and wish she don’t pee in the clinic’s bed, you reminder the FULL BLADDER!!!!! The sec the clock announces the hour’s end she will run to the loo and hope she don’t pee the babies out. Funny but everyone that have done this, is thinking it!!!! ( you cant pee them out- its just that, what IF!!!!!)

Then suro-sus is starting with the Monsterzilla-bum-injections!!! Its for her body to try to make it most baby-friendly ever. Just maybe the embryos want to stay...Please stay!!!!

Then the dreat full 2 week wait start and the wonder what if????? On day 10 she go for bloodworks and then drumroll......you’re world start to crumble in 1000000000000000 pieces or YOUR STRIKE IT LUCKY!!!!!!!!!! YOUR PREGNANT!!!!

So the babies inside is as you can read.....not SUS babies!!!!!!!! Its my and Luv’s DNA. The babies will look like us!!!!!!! She is NOT giving away HER babies!!!!! She is giving our babies back to us!! The just bake them for us.... you reminder.......

The twins are 4 months old!!! Where is the time flying?????

Stop stop!!!!! You are getting to big to soon!!!!!

They are getting cuter day by day!!! They laugh for everything I do ( yes I do going on like a clown most of the day) Their necks are getting stronger and they love looking around and discovering new things around them.

This weekend they went to their first 40^th Birthday and next week its their nephew’s 3th Birthday!! I think they are party-babies, because they love it and sleep through it most of time.

Funny how things change!!!!! My house was always neat with everything on its place.... now it has change. Most of the time it look like a baby school with things lying all over the place ( its the things I use to entertain them the whole day)

All the scatter cushions are lying on the floor where they are most of the day.

My kitchen looks like a milk and bottle factory!! And diapers and wipes , just where you look!!

And soon I want to get a playroom for them ready where I can throw in all the stuff....a don’t-mind-how-it-look-room.

My house has been invaded by twin-aliens!!!!

Friday was the twin’s vaccinations again... Wium was fast asleep when the sister inject, shame and he scream!!! I was feeling so sorry for him!!! After the Chiro fix his sucking last time , he was going all way. He now weigh 5,8kg and have grown like a giraffe!! From 52 to 57,5cm... he is longer than Nika for the first time.

Nika still have the advance of weighing 6,060kg, but beware... brother is at your heals, sister!! And her length is 56cm.

They are both on track and if you see them, Premmie-time was long long ago!!! They have grown so much , my throat is blocking if I seen that , because I love the small babies.

We are very lucky they have never been sick and are doing great!!

This weekend we where away and the camping cot thing don’t work, its just too much packing so we made a floor bed and they sleep like kings in it. They now went to bed between 8 and 9 and Wium will wake at half past 2 and Nika at 4 o clock . How we got here......dont know, but its super fantastic!!!!!

The 2 are gooooing ang gaagggging the whole time and its like having conversations with them. Nika wants to talk for hours and Wium think life is a joke!! He is laughing all the time!! When he wake early mornings its not so funny for us to laugh but he think life’s a joke!!! Looks like he will be our son floating through life, you go boy!!!!!!

They were a bit grumpy after the injections but are fine now.

We are enjoying them so much!!!!!!

20^th of January 2008....... the day I have lost my identical twin boys....

Tomorrow it will be 4 year ago, since that terrible day. The day I have blocked out of my brain. It was just so shocking.....

The first 2 years was utter hell, but now this year for the first time the pain is a bit better, because we now have Nika and Wium.

Tomorrow the twins need to go for their vaccinations again, shame! Would be nice to see how much they weigh... It’s hard to take them now because they are more knowing what’s going on around them.

They are more and more awake during the day. Wium being awake most of time. He now only scream when he is tooooooo tired but don’t want to just close his eyes!! Nika is a dream ( yes , they have change over. Nika was the busy one first)

They giggle and goo alot and just enjoy little things I do with them. I do alot of stimulation activities and they love it. They laugh alot and it is so cute , I just adore them so much. Luv hate to go to work in the mornings, because he miss them so much.

I am very privilege to be with them the whole day. Some days to get hectic but I have wait so long for them, how can I be fed up and need a break???? The 10 year break was long enough, thanx

I have to plan my day to get everything done. I don’t have any help and I cope , well.

At night they are a breeze, Nika will drink her last bottle at 9 and only wake at 6 and Wium drink also at 9 and will wake at 3 and 6....but last night he only wake at 5!! I was on duty so, it was a wake at 5 and 6!!! Great!! Every other night the luv is on duty , so you do get every second night a sleep-through-night!

I am not doing any routine on them , just let them be and it seems to work!!!

It is killing hot and yesterday the twins was so grumpy of the heat so we took them for their FIRST SWIM......and they just loveeeeeeee it!!!!

This is my Grandma at 90 years, seeing the twins. Its some of the last pic we have of her!!!

Then 2 days before Christmas day my grandma of 90 pass away!!! Not a nice time of the year to go...

So just after Christmas we went to her funeral. “ Ouma” was saying she just wanted to see the twins, please. The day when we left ICU for home....we pass her hometown and on the way stop to do our first feed out of ICU on our own and I ask my mother to fetch her .....she was one of the first people to see the twins....she was so happy to have seen the babies and could not stoping talk about them....and now she is gone!!!

At the funeral it was the first time, where allot of family and people my mother know have seen the twins. You can not believe how excited the people are to see them. They are adorable now!!!!!!

It was wonderful to for the first time ever to be a family on Christmas!! Wow we just love it!!! And we are just sooooo happy!!!!!! For the first time we enjoy it and feel part!

Not that the babies really know whats up but anyway!!!.

Suro-sus kids was so excited to see father “Christmas” glad you can bull shit them still...

Chapter 2

The weather this holiday was great!! It was amazing, best ever. It was the first holiday where we only swim once ( when friends did babysitting for a few minutes) and it was the first holiday with zero-tanning.

We did do allot of walking with the babies. Every morning and every evening till late. And they just adore it. They loved the walks with the ubbabubba-wraps on the beach.

In the holiday it was time for their vaccinations. Shame!!! The sister that did it was so surprise to see them ,because they went through a growth-BOOM!! I think its all the love they got from us.

Wium went from 3,58kg to 4,78 kg in a month’s time. He grows from 52cm to 57,5cm.

Nika went from 3,78kg to 5,140kg and grow 52cm to 58cm. They doing so good!

After that they go to the chiropractor. Nika’s neck are fine now, its unbelievable what the chiro did for her. We told the girl about Wium’s sucking thats not good. She work on his pallet bones and wholla.... he is sucking like a fish!!! And picking up weight like a hippo!

Suro-sus visit us for a few days. She is doing great! Her kids just love Nika and Wium and just want to help with the feedings and the baths and the diaper changing. I enjoy the extra help too.

Holiday....Chapter 1

I will tell you my holiday in a few posts: so lets rock and roll.

After a very emotional, hectic and overwhelming 2011!!! A year that I still cannot believe end like that. We really needed a break. We needed a break to just glue as a new family and to just for the first time ever to be a family!! Still feels weird to be called a ”FAMILY”!!!! and geez it feels GREAT!!!!!

The 16^th we went to Stillbay for the holiday.

If you could see the car..... its was pack to the roof!! And if you know me ( who love.... flowers) there was 3 pot plants packed at my feet and a orchid on my lap. The twins at the back.... you could not see. So to get to them we needed to stop along the road. Have to say the twin stuff took up allot of space, but who cares. Me and luv can pack a car, after all you just need space to see the road!!!

From the moment we arrive till the moment we left.... the twins have grown!!!!! And develop!!!!!

At home they sleep in their own room , but the holiday they slept next to us! We make turns to be on night duty and it work like a bomb!!! Every second night you get a good night’s sleep zzzzzzzzzz.

Nika who was the little rocker turn into a sweet little girlie. She is a real dream!! But Wium turn into “trouble” he never want to go to sleep, not even at night time. So he is grumpy all the time , BECAUSE he is tired!!!! ( all everyone is saying...... just like his mommy!! She don’t want to go and sleep ever...)

If you put Nika in the cot she will get up in the same position, but Wium is like clock.....turning and tossing all the time. Once he was lying on top of Nika. When we hit home 2 days ago they slept in their own cots and it work wonderfully!

Nika will take her last bottle at 9 at night and will wake at 5 or 6 in the morning. YES she sleep through the night . jippeee ....and Wium????? He will take his last bottle at 9 at night and then he will wake every 2 to 3 hours!!! Thats the trouble with twins!!! ( I don’t think they know , but we are trying something new this evening.... hope it work!)

I am going to take a break till next year, so this is my last post for 2011!!

Thanx for every single one that follow my blog, I wish I can meet you all!! That will be super great!! Without even knowing each other you support me on my journey, and that means alot to me!!

It was a year where I have meet wonderful angel-people. All have touched my heart in so many ways!!

This was a rollercoaster year with NO Guarantees in the beginning of the year and it turn out to be the best year of my life!! now we are going to just enjoy the twins which we dearly love.

I need to get my whole me into this new time, Xmas time!!! I am not use to it?? It feels weird!

Xmas time is family time!! Its a time where very body is happy and full of smiles, families gathering together after a year of not seeing each other. Children love the whole we-believe-in-Xmas father-and his-gang!! Its lights and food and some places snow and fun. Most people are seeing forward to this the whole year!!!

BUT WHAT IF.....you don’t have kids, if you are a family of 2 adults???

Then this is the worst time of your life, if you not in it, don’t even open up your month!! Its a don’t go zone!!! And that is where we have been the last 10 years.

I just hated Charismas time!!!!Its SHIT! You feel so alone... you hate the malls where all the shopping took place, and to go to the family gathering break your heart!!! Very year somebody new have a baby it just never ever stop. You have to sit there watching every one O so happy, you need to laugh , but you actually want to cry!! You sit there like ET in the desert... you don’t belong there!!! Because you don’t have kids!! My family always makes us feel welcome and try to make us part ( but it still was hard) and Luv’s family did not once ever took us in consideration.( because we did not have kids)

So the last few years, I did not put a tree in my house.... no lights!!! Because it was so dam fucking sore!! I hate presents!! Some where in the last pass years we ship a family-do –or –two. Once we went skiing, it was wonderful, but still sore .The White Xmas help abit.!!!it was better than the family do, and the year after I lost my twins there was not a change in hell I could drag myself to Xmas. Me and luv was floating between here and there!!. We stayed in friend caravan while they went to their family-do. That was when we went on Xmas eve to a bar!!! Very body that was in the bar was people that have had sore and not belonging to a chrismas-family. Its was one of the nights we will never ever forget !!! We have met the most interesting people and stories!! Funny was the bar lady decorated all the booz-botlles with xmas trimmings and lights... have you ever!!! And they played all the xmas songs and wanted us to sing along. Geewhilzz me and luv have had such a memorial night!! And now I know what lonely people do, we where one of them, then!!

And now I need to erase 10 years of heartache and tried to get hold of my Chrismas tree and see if the lights even work. Me and Luv are starting our first family xmas with the twins and we are so seeing forward to it!!

Last year this time I was at a very bad place. We did not know what to do next....Me and |Luv was just so fed-up!!!!!!I was feeling terrible after just other miscarriage and the statistics not turning a single time in my favour. I wands feeling shit for Suro-sus, because now she is head-on in this fuck-up road, of not getting pregnant and we did not want her to go through this stuff again. As you can see, we where on nobodies land not fitting in anywhere!!! ( and for Xmas time to not fit in is awhfull)

We decided we don’t want to do it again, we will enjoy the next 3 for years just to have a normal time for once in our life and then we will hit the world!!!! We will travel forever!!!!! After all we don’t need to save our money for our kids!! ( little secrect and just before I will turn 40 we will try again, just maybe...)

But my loving sus WANTED to try again!!! ( its in our genes... to not give up) so okay then one more try!!!!! But its the last!!! Suro attempt!!

...and now one year later look how my life turn out to be!!!! We are parents..... We have TWINS...... I am a mom and luv a dad.... We are a family..... We are super-dooper-happy.....My house are not neat anymore.....baby stuff are all over our house.....I am mostly dress in puking clothes and pee on my pants....I don’t get sleep anymore....I AM ADDICTED TO A BOY CALLED WIUM AND A GIRL CALLED NIKA!! They have turned our lives up-side-down.

All our plans vanished in the air!!! And brand new plans have took over!!

And all I can think off is......WHAT IF WE DID NOT TOOK THIS LAST TRY ?????

The weekend was a bliss!!! It was so nice to break and to just chill around and enjoy the kids!! There was DIY work also , l like it just to do some normal stuff again.

The weather was not that nice but the weekend was wonderful. You can feel the holiday feeling here in South Africa.... people are driving all over, kids are on their bikes, its just a chilling vibe!! We went out with the wraps , our babies just love that and all the attention they got. After all they are special babies. Luv is going to take leave after Xmas it will be our holiday, this year was not very holiday-like, we need this break. Suro sus is also going to visit us. I miss her kids so much. She will have freight if she sees the twins.....they BIG!!

I was Saturday at a friends Bday party and Luv did the baby sitting all on its own....when I got home He wanted to get me a medal!!!!!! The one twin gone to sleep at 2h45 and the other one wake up at 2h46.... now he know how I spent my days..... running around!!! But loving it!!

Yesterday I was burping them and the bell ring!! I think NO I am not going to open!! Then my cell ring, curiosity took over to open.... and there my roommate from school was.... haven’t seen her in years!!! It was so nice!!!! This time of year you don’t get much to do, and its most of the time, you that are just soooo lazy you just want to party!!!

...and this year will be the best ever!!!! WE ARE A FAMILY!!!!!

This last week was busy, but I think its a before-Xmas-thing.

Tuesday there was some personal stuff that was very important that need to be done as soon as possible. It was the first day I went out with the twins in the car on my own....and it went so well!!! I timed myself to see how quickly I will mange them in their car seats, buckle-up and bags pack. Record time just surprise me so much , I have been out allot since then.

The meeting went sooo well!!!! Please to see I still got it!!

The twins did not sleep for 2 days from then on and then yesterday they sleep the whole day!!! Maybe they have had an “don’t-sleep-competition” I did not know of. ( their mother and father are very good at that!) They are on their own wickets and I just need to full in!!. Have to say with a whole days sleep I only got 4hour sleep last night!! Adrenalin????? Kick in please!!!!

We are going away for the weekend, it will be the first time out since ICU that we ar e packing again. And Geez Whizzz just the diapers and the burp cloths took a seat!!!! And they are taking up a seat.

We are seeing forward to this sooooo much!!!!! Yippeeee its Friday!!! My favourite day!!

How does a typical day in the twin-house looks like...

I know we are in sort of a routine, but for me and luv that are not your normal-routine-like-people-actually-there-is-zero-routine it is very much routiny!!

First morning get up is anything from 6 to 8. I am very lucky if it’s early enough before Luv went to work, because then he can help me with the feed!! I will quickly jump through the shower otherwise I will be stuck in my PJ’s for the day.

Then I will quickly make the beds and sort out all the scattered stuff of the night. Then I will bring them down stairs and put them down for a nap( just if I am lucky!!) If I am lucky I will start sterilizing all the bottles of the day ( this take a while) and get all my STATIONS ( will tell you later) ready for the day. This is my saving grace if my stations are not ready for the day....my whole life turn to a dark night!!

If they let me more sleepy time I will do the washing and ironing and cleaning, but if they not letting me this time the rest of the day is chaos, then its feeding, changing diapers, do the burping, trying making them to sleep, try to calm them down, try to do some stimulating exercising ect.

Some time I’ve got time to make lunch other than that its coffee and rusks for lunch ( little secret...its most of the time coffee and rusks. Luv will get back to work and the baby-rituals begin all over again. If I am lucky they will sleep and I got time for my emails. Sometimes if the weather permitted we will go for a walk in their pram which they just love!!!!!

16h40!!!! Best time of the day!!!! Luv arrived from work!!!! And then I got an extra pair of arms!!!! We will have a coffee( yes I am a coffee-junkie) or we will go out for one( love the new scenery for the day) or we will go out for a walk with them.

Then its the normal feeding-changing-burping ritual and then anytime from 22h00 to 23h00 we will bath them.... i know its late but it work for us. The normal 18h00 is just too early for mom and dad.

Then they will go to bed and we will go and sleep or sometimes 24h00 is the best time to hang the washing!! Luckily they will only wake once in the night. The night they are super!!

And then the 6h00 cycles start all over again!!

Some day are super calm and other days are super hectic!!!

Why are weekends so short?? Its the only time I have two pair of extra hands to help....

And today Nika rock us!!!! She just don’t want to sleep. Okay its a family thing, no one likes to sleep, their mommy too, but now some days I will love so a bid of extra sleeping time.

So today she did not sleep from this morning 10 o clock till tonight 21h00. She has only sleep while we went to buy the newspaper with the stroller and that was half an hour!

We were so busy with them today and luv has already gone to bed, and I have discovered the paper only now and its 23h00 at night. I am tired but this quick peace time to read is golden....

... and the twins are getting bigger and bigger and I still love every second of them. I have a totally new life now and old life... whats that???? Whats sleep???? Whats clean clothes???? Whats you own time????

Sorry I have been not with you lately, but the 2 keep me busy, now. They don't like sleep so much..ZZZZ. They want to have attention all the day till late night!!! some days they are out of it and others like today they are more calm. So today I need to do all the washing that have been piling up to the roof!

The twins are 2 months old today!!!! They are like full-grown-full-tern-babies now. Where did the time go...... 2 months of super joy!!!! And still time is passing to quickly, we are enjoying them sooo much, and I just adore this baby-stage.

I will take a 2 month foodie later today and post it.

This weekend we went out with the twins for breakfast twice, they just love an “outing” !! and if they knew their parents they must get use to a” pick-up-and-go-life-style” and we went to friends for a braai on Saturday night. And the best they behave like 2 angles.

Weekends are bliss with Luv here. Its so nice to have an extra pair of hands. But when we hit Mondays.... the twins have a conspiracy against me.

Then they make me run for my life!!! There is always one awake, leaving me too not get to all the things that need to be done. I think if you put a camera in my house you will sit the whole day and watch and laugh your ass off for the comedy, thats playing off. They don’t like to be on the same place the whole time so they are scattered all over my house, because now they like it in their pram and then on the kitchen table, then to the couch and then to their bed.

If I feed the one the other one will look me straight in the eye and........PUKE!!!! then I need to put the one down , pick up the other one, clean-up....and then the other one will start to POO!!!! Then I need to put the puking-one down and pick up the poo-one ( the poo-one like to see how far he can test- poo-the-diaper-brand)

When the phone ring, and I am so glad to just have a chat...I pick them both up plus their dummies and run for the phone. If I dare leave then they will just start to complain and I will need to end my call. SO if you phone me it will probably be all 3 of us answering the phone.

And the newest twin-trick...I think they love each other dearly, but in the week when it’s just mommy at home. They want all off mommy’s attention JUST FOR THEMSELF!!!!! So I may only have one sitting with me, not both!!! If I pick up one, that don’t want to sleep( the other one is then sleeping) it will only be a few seconds then the sleepy one just know( how the hec I don’t know) and will start to complain!!!! What if they are not babies, and maybe bionic-robots....visiting earth????

...but I am enjoying every single thing about them and we laugh allot!!

Nika is gunning Wium most of the time , but last night in the bath....( they are lying on their bath-grips) WIum was peeing with an arch into his little sister’s head!!!. SO Sus you need to look out,,, the game is on!!!

First friend's visit

One of the twin’s friend’s come to visit them on their way pass our little town. It was so nice to meet him for the first time!!

He was also a teany weany little preemie!! He weight only 840g at birth and now his is 4kg. He is also a little miracle.

We and his parents where having coffee , while the 3 of them where talking all there ICU-TALKS . About monitors, doctors, needles, peepers and ALL the very nice sisters that was looking after them.

Wium is listening to all of his friend stories, the stories just scare Nika all over again...

Exactly a year ago I have had another miscarriage. Yes, yet another!!. I defiantly fuck up the miscarriage-statistics big time!! Me .... not a good experimental guinea pig!!!

We live in a small little town, and here is not allot of coffee shops or restaurants. But we do go often to the one for coffee. Me and Luv are coffee-junkies!

SO last yea,r more around this time, after a coffee. One of the girls that waiter there, call me back and tell me.

...YOU ARE GOING TO BE BLESSED IN ABUNDANCE!!!! She did not know we are doing Suro.

And look where we are now.... blessed with twins!!!!

All along this last year the ladies were asking how is the babies, how are your sister and when are they coming? When the twins was still in “just-stay-indoors” I went for a take-a-way and all the girls come running to me to, congratulate me. One of them have seen it in the newspaper and tell the others...the” Mocca-Chocca’s ” twins have arrive!! ( you can just think what we always order....mocco chocca’s, and I think that is our nickname in that shop)

One day they have had a peep through the car window and last weekend we went for breakfast with them in the wraps...

Total chaos!!!! Very one even the kitchen staff wanted to see them!!!

Due date....40 weeks

Today is 40 weeks!!!! This was our official due date in the very first beginning!!

...and now the twins are 8weeks already!

In the beginning I wondered will we ever get to this, will this be it, please that this be it, please!! And now we are sitting with the 2 most gorgeous twins in the world, in our arms . If I look at them and I see how they just love us and want to be with us every sec. ( luckily for them their mommy have waited sooo damm long, and don’t mind sitting with them 24/7 )

I look at them and think they have come in such a special way into our life and how many life’s and hearts they have touch. They were so mend to be!!

The utter joy and contentment they have give us, up till now...I just know they are here with us because of lots of prayers and hope and love.

Wium and Nika you are sitting your mom and dad’s heart full!!!

What a looooong day!

Friday was a very long day... we got up at 5 o’clock to feed. Me and Luv got dress and pack everything for the day. Milk supply + extra because we always got hook ups somewhere. Extra clothes, enough diapers, wraps and the pram.

On the way there is always time for a take-away-coffee. We arrive half pass 8 and need to do a feed again IN THE CAR!! We unpack everything on the dash-board, we change the diapers on our laps. ( few people we defiantly peeping at us)

Diaper change...

We put them in the wraps and off to the lady who will do the injections. Did not know what to expect...and we where surprise....an angel!!! She was so nice and babies are her passion. She did a thorough examination of the twins and then did the injection. They did not even cry allot!!! She was so caring and help me allot with questions.

Nika is weighing 3,78kg and Wium 3,58kg. I am so proud of them doing so well and now I know we are on the right track!!

Then it was off to the pead!!! What a bummer ... she was terrible!!! Afterwards we were still in shock, how not up to it she was!! She is suppose to be the one to see if they are on track with their millstones. She did not ask anything about them. Like birth weight, age and length ect. She put Nika on the scale and said, she have a nice weight.. Duuuuud!! You don’t even know how many weeks this girlie are. Nika pee on her bed , she did not even wipe it and then next she put Wium next to the pee ( sorry they can be twins, but he is your next patient ! and you will defiantly bill him for the full!)

Nika have this neck that is bending to the back allot. Look like a spasm. It worry us abit. I did not say anything and wanted to see what see will say....she said: this girl is every strong!! Then I know, we need to hit the road!!! She will not see us ever again!!!

Right after the injections, and sleeping again ( I did not drug them)

Then is was off to the Chiro. I know she is good and I always don’t tell her anything to see if she can find the problem. Wium was fine, his neck a bit out, but fine. Nika....have problems!! With her neck, a nerve is pinching and so her neck is in spasm ( the chiro could see this, I could see this, but pead???? NO!!) the neck is better and she need a check-up again. And today they are not suffering with winds so much!! Chiro do babies so good!!.

Then we where off the do shopping and we met up with my brother next to the road at a gas station. They have not see the twins!!

We got back home at 8 o’clock the night.... and what did the twins do the whole day????

It was a utter bliss with them, they just love an outing!!!

Vaccinations

We need to take off early tomorrow morning, its a 1h20 to get to the town and then 9 o’clock it’s the injections and 10 o’clock it’s the Pead visit ( its a new one) then its feeding time somewhere in the car and them its chiropractor-time. I know this every good chiro and she love working with babies . With my last visit in August I was telling her the twins will be coming.

Then its stocking-up time with milk and diapers and groceries. After that I am as you all could see on the foodies...am in desperate need of a hair cut.

I hope my babies will love their outing.

Best diet ever.... twins!

I know all of you wonder about what’s going on in Suro-sus life??? Can tell you she is not busy with a new suro-project and she is not open for any new suro-attempts. Sorry you all!! She just did it for lucky me!

When she was still preggo’s with the twins, her oldest daughter was telling her one night. Mommy when the babies is out you can lay down in a bath full of bubbles, on your back and then you will say “ this is the life! “

Suro-sus is enjoying her newly-back-on-track-life-till-the-fullest!! She got her own life back!! And she can play with her kids and pick them up. And we have a new life, thanx to sus!!

She was amazing is so many words. She hates it to be pregnant, but still did it.

She have only pick up 4kg the whole pregnancy ( i still remember after the 6 week scan, she was asking how am I going to look with twins on the end? And it turn out...she look awesomely good!!!!!

She picks up 4kg and the twins weigh 4kg at birth!!! You go girl!!! And with twins its all the extra blood and inside stuff. She loose her own body fat during the pregnancy. ( It look like I was pregnant one)

So now 7 weeks after the twins birth, Suro-sus is weighing 10 kg less!!! She look amazing!! She is in the clouds!! It was her best diet ever!!! People that did not see her during the pregnancy is asking What did you do!! To look this good and all she answer is..... I was having twins!!!

This was on Friday morning, looking around...

I think I am addicted!!!! To my babies!!

I can not leave them for a second!! I am just so in love with them!!! And weekends are the best then Luv is with us the whole time.The twins are being more and more awake during the days!! And Nika at night. They are 7 weeks this week and they start being more like babies everyday.,

They want to be near us the whole time and I know I am making a big mistakes, but you know I don’t care and want to have them on me the whole time. After al,l I did wait 10 years for this.

They don’t cry, just even they hungry and when we undress them for bath time otherwise they quiet . They love it when I sing to them “OUR” special song.

This weekend we went for our first outing to a restaurant!! Likely there were not much people there. I am a bit anti-germy!!

This was how I did some clean up at home this weekend!! With Nika, she just love to clean the house.

Family rocks the house

I am not sure what happen....our whole house is still in bomb –shock!!! Something hit us??? What????

...my family!!!

My aunt is down here to see her sick mother ( she is also a grandma of the twins) and she come down to see her new grandchildren, and with her my mother ( also a grandma) and the twins “tummy-aunty” plus her kids. As you all can make the sums...they fill-up the car with family and visit us. I do have a family that is scared they will loose out.

After 5 minutes with the kids over excited to see their new family-little-friends, everyone talking and laughing and camera lights flashing, I could see the twins are rock!!!

The rebel Nika just sleep ( I think that was a cover... only pretending) and Wium sitting with eyes so big, look like he have just step on a landmine. This was the first meeting with the family, and I can only say, good luck kids this is just the beginning!!!

Suro-sus was so surprise to see how BIG they have grown!! She was the one that saw them the most in ICU.

Now the fam have left, and the twins cannot believe the utter peace of silence... as the song go...

Let me tell you more about my 2 little angels at home. They are twins, this is just here where all the differences start.They are a boy and a girl. With so different everything it’s unbelievable!!!

We spot the different personalities from when we saw them first. In ICU it was visible already!!

Nika was the slightly bigger one at birth. She came out with dark hair on her head and she was the taller one ( only with a cm) She look more like Luv, the hands and feet, but my personality and my round shape face.

When she was still inside, one day Suro-sus told me the following...the one that is on my left side, NEVER GOES TO SLEEP!!!!! This one is ALWAYS awake!!. We could not wait till birth to see what’s going to pop that don’t want to sleep....it was NIKA!!! Surprize!!

Nika is hyper!!! Not a shock at all because most of my family are hyper!!! When she is awake, everything move the whole time, she can already lift up her head and move it from side to side....she is curious off whats around her.. as I type this she is awake in the wrap , she is wake for most of this day....

She is always hungry ( just like me) and she want to eat anything, the burp cloth is very scare of her.She just love her purple dummy. When we feed her she spills and burps, not a lady-like-drinker.

When we put them together for their sleep, she is always punching Wium and kicking him. I will soon start to separate them if she don’t stop to be a bully!!. She is pissing him off.

Wium have a oval shape face like Luv, but he have my hands and feet and Luv’s personality. He is a sweetie with good manners. He have light hair and are always sitting and just staring. He is not all over the place like madam. He sleeps well and if he drinks his milk and its finish he closes his lips and we can wipe it. He is my good manner –boy. He don’t like his dummy allot.

One thing in common, they both hate POOOOO in their diaper-pants!!

I think they love each other hopefully, because we adore them!!!!

We just love to explore every day, their new wiggles and twitches!!

38 weeks

Time is flying so quickly and my babies are getting bigger and bigger. Nika is weighing 3,1kg
and Wium 3kg and they are only 6 weeks old! ( 38 weeks). One little secret I just adore small little babies and now mine are babies, big babies. And every day I stare at them I can see the huge changes. Where are my tiny little babies??? This is why I cherish every single second of them, because before I blink my eyes they will be BIG... O Gosh!!! And I want be a mommy forever!!

I can not complain about them at all, they do not cry ( just when you take off their clothes to bath and when we are not on the dot with their bottles, then they start to complain.) but otherwise they are champion babies. We are still sitting on the edge and wait for this to change. But time will tell I suppose.

This weekend we put on some curtain rails and I was Luv handyman and I just pop the twins in the wraps and they sleep though all the work that need to be done.

We are starting to stretch their feeding routine. This will took a while to adept to this robot-twin-routine.

Because the twins was born on 32 weeks , they told us to not have sick people near them till 40 weeks and that people dont pick then up and NO kids, because kids have all the child-germs. Now we are on 38 weeks! WOw!! so near to start to hit the road.

My grandma she is 90 could not wait to meet the twins, and on our way home we stop, so that see can see them. Everybody was waiting sooo long for this special babies. She is now very sick...

Nika sitting snug and safe...

Yesterday I was alone for the first time the 9 o’clock feeding – I was facing my first challenge ( I love a challenge) to handle the twins all on my one. I need to get the hang of it because Luv is going to work on Friday.

I wake Nika. Feed her and burp her and then it was Wium’s turn. This all happen in 30 min. They are really sputnik’s!! I was feeling on top of the world.

..but I am scared, because I know that sooner or later the cracks will show in my little angles, wings...

The sit-and-watch-twin-holiday is also about the get to an end....after all, there is a world out there! Yesterday we have started to do home-stuff. Doing washing and bottles, plant some plants in the garden and do some bottles, and iron and do some bottles, and Luv need to eat and I have to do the bottles.

Luckily we have bought this wonderful wraps www.ubbabubba.co.za so now when the one is awake I just pop her or him in and go on with normal stuff. And they just love to be in the wrap. The wraps have defiantly give me extra set of arms!!.

With the 3 o’clock feeding at night we are now going to make turns so that the other one can sleep through. It was my turn and all went well.( Have to confess , Luv wake me I did not hear the alarm clock. I am BAD with alarms!!)

...but this moring , Luv went out and I was alone, not a problem at all. But then an hour before the feed, the twin’s wings scatter in million pieces!!

They scream together!!!! On top of their voices ( did not know they have voices) now I know.

I turn into overdrive and change diapers in seconds and put them up against the cushions ( thanx goodness it’s not in the ICU-Chair anymore) and feed them together till they calm and after that I took one at a time....and the wings jump on back....

They are sleeping right now...Z zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... let sleeping dogs sleep...

My baby-sitter in action...

I cannot believe we have been home for over a week now, just being inside our home the whole time and ENJOYING these 2 miracles. I think it will take a while to realize it’s ours forever!! After all these years with Zero Guarantees, it’s FINAL!!! that we are parents and that’s a GUARANTEE!! At freaking last!

With every feeding me and Luv change and feed the other one, and very second time you get the same one, you cannot believe the change, they getting bigger as we speak! And a little secret, I LOVE small babies, I just adore them. My premmies are not prem anymore....the weigh 2,8kg. Must be all the love they get that’s making them grow so much.

They are acting more and more like babies. If we wake them for their feeding and they realize its MILKY-TIME they go mad... and they attract their bottles like a shark its bait. I am scared of my fingers. And we will defiantly need too buy to more burp-clothes because if that’s in the way they start to nipple on that as well.

Most of the time they sleep, but the hyperactive Nika ( suro-sus spot that in the womb already) wants more attention and like to listen to us open-eyed.

They are only 37 weeks today and they hate having poo in the diapers. If they start to wiggle we just know.....change the diaper or Nika’s hat is over her eyes.

I can just look at LUV, its not a surprise for me , but he is just enjoying his kids soooo much. If you can see him now you will think soon he will open a baby-crèche.

I don’t have somebody helping me at home and between everything I still got time for washing, ironing and believe it....after a year there was time for me to get my ass on the treadmill, and it felt great!

Yesterday somebody was telling me they are going to try another IVF, because I have given them hope. And it feels great to be, some hope for women out there.

If you are still on the IF journey, my heart goes out to you. I hope with all in me that you will read my story and can take a bit of it, if its a small piece of hope to get glued too. Its a not easy road to be one...HUGS xxxxxx

They are soooo sweet and loved! And we are so relax....more than I would ever think!!

You remember a few months ago, the story about paranoid me!! So I bought the sound and movement monitor, all the times I watch over Suro-sus kids I was PARANOID, for them to stop breathing!! Its a HUGE thing for me. So if I have to watch I will sit up the whole night, with my hand on their chests or with a finger under their nose, or lights flashing on them to see if they still breathe. At the end of the night they have had a wonderful night and me.....totally exhausted and so glad to see that the sun is shining.

In the hospital I was fine!! Because they were double check all the time with heart rate and breathing monitors. Funny on Friday when the sister was busy to disconnect the beepers ( I did not see it) the next moment I was aware of not hearing the beeping. I turn around and ask did they stop to breathe??? NO, they your babies now and will be fine.

SO when they arrive home we put on their SNUZAS ( its a movement monitor) and wonder if this gadget work?? And yes it work!!! Its the best gadget ever!! You just clip onto their diapers and the moment nothing move after 10 sec it buzz to wake the baby, if not after another 10 sec the alarm will go off! Mommy go and get yourself one!! Snuza have kill my paranoia .

The first night at about 4 o’clock it went off, baby still fine just the Snuza that have move abit after babies wiggling. From then on we know it work so when we hit the pillow....we....sleep....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

SO what happen the first day home...

We did not know what to expect..how will it be with twins, and YES everyone is telling how drama and suffering is about to knock on your door. Me and Luv was so ready for that.

The sisters at hospital were amazing, and was telling as to just keep to the routine. As you know ROUTINE is the one thing me and Luv don’t have in our life at all. We life the moment...

We get home at six o’clock and start to feed immediately. After that we unpack everything. To unpack my suitcase after months was the best ever!!! And to just be at home...

This is what happens the next few hours.

Feeding times is 6-9-12-3-6-9. Every 3 hours.

15 minutes before the hour, I walk and put the kettle on to warm the bottles and I make the bottles. In that 15 minutes Luv, wake the twins, change their diapers ( he is doing so good , don’t look like a new-dad, he look like an baby-expert)

I get the bottles, and the burp clothes, each of us take the twins and start to feed. This take about 15 ( Wium is a quickie) to 25 minutes( Nika is the snail) to finish their bottles and to get them burp. I am actually scared to brag about it, because babies can disappoint their parents the moment you brag with them. So as you can see half an hour after we start on the hour. WE ARE FINISHED!!!! We did not think this will happen. Then they go to sleep again and sleep till the next feeding. SO the first night we got SEVEN HOURS SLEEP.

And this is what happen the next 3 nights also. I think the twins are just as glad we all home now!!

Wium and Nika have ring-side-seats for the World cup final!! and dad is enjoying every single second of it.

HOME after 24 days!!!

Sorry for the bad updates but I was in hospital most of my 24 days and not at a PC, but from now on you all will get more updates, because after a whole year of never being at home most of the time....I CAN FINALLY SAY...I AM BACK!!!! THE FAMILY ARE COMPLETED

The hospital would not discharge me if the twins could not finish all of their bottles of the day and pick up weight, and then they went on a strike and don’t drink ( they are so tiny and get tired easily) so they get the rest of their milk through their nose tubes...and if they finish that I need to room-in with them to see if I can cope!!! ( COPE is the last thing on my mind...I will cope because I want my babies!!!

So it looks like Saturday will be the due date to leave. So Friday morning Luv took the bus down here ( so he can drive us all back home) I was driving to the hospital and was so fed-up for the hospital, the artificial air in the room and I was missing home...big time!!!

Opposite the hospital there are a very nice grocer , I bought a sandwich and sit there and think this is getting to much now!! I finish eating and went to the twin’s room. There the doctor was and she said...they fine you can go home!!! WHAT!!!!! And the rooming in??? If you want to, otherwise go home!! I START CRYING!! AND IT NEVER STOPS THE WHOLE DAY!!

It was the best news ever!!! And for the first time everything felt real!!, because in hospital it feel like the twins belong to ICU. And NOW after all they mine, I can take them home!!!

So then I call Luv on the bus tell him you must get your ass down here, he will just arrived and them we need to go. I went to fetch their car-chairs ( very weird feeling to went back in hospital with that). I dress the twins in their own clothes. Put them in their own blankets. Pack all their belongings and cry. I cry because this is final!!! I cry because I need to say good bye to new friends!! Which I will miss so much. I cry because of this miracle-journey that has end...I cry because I am so happy!! To be a family!! I cry because I miss Luv so much the past year!! I JUST CRY!!!! And look terrible!!

Suro-sus also bring her kids to say goodbye!! It was the first time they saw them. They think Nika and Wium are just sooo tiny!!

It was a very happy and very sad day!! All the sisters come and say goodbye!! They where angels to my babies! They love my babies so much!!!

Luv took the two very special babies! And start walking and very one was just saying goodbye as we past, for the sisters, the receptions the kiosk-girlies, the kitchen staff, all were saying goodbye ...and I cried!!!The one was saying ...NOW our days will not be the same anymore!!, this was so touching!!!. For 24 days!!!!! I was getting so much love from the hospital people and all of my friends nearby!! Thanx you all!! I will miss you all.

We get the babies and drove to my parenst home, make a pit stop to feed ( and to show my grandmother of 90 the twins) and get in the car and went straight home just in time for the next feed!

...SO AFTER 10 AND A HALF YEARS...THERE are BABIES IN OUR HOUSE!! This is very special!!

20 day in ICU

Today its 20 days in here!! What a place to be!! and I cannot believe how the time fly and all the time I have spend in here. The 2 are doing great!! and it sound as if we can start to pack our bags... to leave soon.

We are 35 weeks today and we can leave at 36 weeks. and the prems are ahead of where they need to be.

I would love to go finally!! I feel like a snail with my house on my back( my car) to unpack everything will be the best!!! and Luv are going to stay at home for the first 2 weeks! Wowwwwww

I have not much news right now, we are sitting at the hospital most of the day. It was nice to see our babies after the 2 days we where at home. Gosh they are so cute!!! and getting bigger by the day. She weigh 2,48kg and he 2,38kg. They are starting to drink their bottles. she is doing great and he is a bit of a lazy bee. They get tired.

They did a hearing test and got a head scan, all is fine. Now they just need to get their feedings under control and then we are off to home.

Look like we can go home maybe this week!!! it will feel funny to go home at last after months.

For me it feels like I am so part of the hospital, I know from the security gard to the kitchen people to most of the staff. I have made so many friends, which I will dearly miss.

Lots of my friends have come to visit and this is nice breaks from the ICU. Tomorrow will be 35 weeks. If I see my babies and look at them and just think what I have get from them this past weeks, I can not think that they still was suppose to be in-side. They perfect little babies! and some people I know drink wine while they 35 weeks pregnant. How the hec can you do that to your baby????? you must be brainless...

This is where I am now....at home sweet home...for the last time alone...

I have been sitting my time-up in ICU in a space that is the size of 1x1,5m for 2 weeks flat!! I don’t like small spaces but I did it. Because of my babies. Time have fly so quickly. I can sit with my babies the whole day for hours and I just love it!! I am still in amaze med-shock!! It still unbelievable to be a mommy.

Nika is weighing 2,36kg and Wium 2,22kg. They are doing brilliantly good!! For premmies! I think they slip out at night and go for a steak in town, thats why the weight are picking up. And the kangarooing is what they love.

They are on full feeding 41 ml and they have start with the bottles and what don’t go in they still get top-up with their feeding tube. I think they are so fed-up with that tube in their nose, Nika pull hers out today.

Wium have been getting so many needles in him, when just somebody touches his legs or arms, he start to cry, shame my poor boy. Soon we will take you home to peace and no doctors near.

How long we will stay??? Me guess is as good as yours!

Everyone tells me to get a break and go home, how do you leave your kids?? SO yesterday I went home( after tossing and turing the whole night...) and just get all the washing and pack a new going-home-bag , because my the 2 dont fit in to tiny-baby stuff they are to long. Tomorrow I will go down with Luv can not wait to see them today.

I thought I won’t cry when I tell them I am going to leave then for a day. I said goodbye and then they open their eyes! And I start crying....all the way out and everyone seeing me tap me on the shoulder( by now everyone in the hospital knows mel)

We phone a few times to get reports on our babies. They sleep well....everything is going good....they drink nicely...they poo ect.

I think the time is near to take them home....we can not wait!!!

Just left the ICU, can not believe its day 13 already. The supa-babes are doing great!!!!!. They are off all drips now, thanks goodness!!. Have to say every morning there was blood-girls, or must I say Vampire-girls they did the blood-works. Shame they cried so much and my heart broke in 10000000 pieces!!

We start breastfeeding, but I don’t think I have enough milk and that a pity, I want to breastfeed!! But what’s best for the babies?? Enough milk at the end.

This weekend we did a lot of kangarooing, we love doing that. And Luv just adores his 2 little sweethearts. He miss them a lot in the weeks. Luckily time fly’s and shortly we will go home and all this stays far from home, will vanish in the sky. I have made so many new friends and all the sistesr are so nice, they are like friends now.

Today was the first day we have put on clothes for them for a short while. It was very funny. Their legs are to long for the prem clothes. They where all curled up in the baby grows. But they look just like babies and I hold them together. Its so sweet so see how they reach out to each other!!

We have just left the hospital, and the twins are doing GREAT!! They have start picking up weight. They are more or less 100g from their birth weight.

Every day we spend time with them are special. And they are sitting our hearts full!! Every single square are belonging to our wonder-babes!!!

The hospital stuff is very good to us. There are not words to describe how they are going out of their way to make this stay as nice as possible!! Last night they dine and wine us in one of the hospital rooms. Very special!!!! Our first night out as parents, with a high qualified sister to babysit.

Every morning Wium and Nika have allot of visitors ( hospital stuff) that come to see how they are doing!!!!!!

Our birth story!!!!!

We got up the morning ans just drink coffee, chat and relax!! Nerves??? NONE we were just too excited!! We did the last minute running around ( went to buy a LOT of tissues....for tears of the day) Suro-sus and her DH went to drop the kids with our mom and went to the hospital and me and Luv went off on our own.

On the way our phones just ring the whole time, everyone just want to send us some strong’s and luck. Actually the whole week it feel like a wedding, because phone’s where ringing all the time.

We got to the hospital I went with my most precious milk ( no, we did not need a milk lorry, a smallll cool bag did it!) and sort the suro-labour things out. I was very emotional the whole morning. They sent me of to Neonatal ICU. I ring the bell and this nice sister open the door and there she stand next to this 2 small beds getting all the probes and pipes ect right and she said. “HI, twin mommy I am busy to prepare you little ones beds. “ That was the moment, everything that is about to happen, felt real!! My twin’s beds!! They are waiting for them!!

While they prepare sus, me and Luv went to quickly grap something to eat and went back to Suro-sus room. She was on a high! ( throughout this whole journey she was not emotional, I know there is allot of people that want to know. We are very strong in our minds. That why I just did this IF route over and over and over again, and she wanted to do this for us, She was very excited. We could not wait to see what going to pop out.

Next moment the door open and they can and fetch us all!! The whole very colour full dress clan! When they wheel Suro-sus bed down the ale, I start crying!!!! Luv and sus-DH went to the scrub room and I and the 2 wonderful ICU sister to the other one. All dress up, me and Luv was waiting outside the theatre while the doc put the epidural in.

It was here, all geared up with cameras and cam recorders where a total super-high-out-of-myself-vibe took over!! It overwhelmed me!! I was beyond of excitement. They call us, sus was now all wrap up with theatre material, and they show us where we can sit down. 3 little chairs just like the 3 bears!! With goldilocks lying on the bed! Sit down was not for me!! I think I would have won the Comrades with all the energy I have had then. Adrenalin was running tough my vines!! When they start to cut...the one sister call and tell me where we will have a better view from. I move to the foot-end of the bed, where I could see the cut, I call luv and when he was standing next to me, I could see his eyes!!Blood and fleche.

This I can tell you ,we have the most amazing pic’s and video material of this whole labour. As you all know under stress, that when I operate the best. I was looking, crying and jumping and took pic’s!!

Next moment I saw the head and then I start to JUMP UP AND DOWN!!!! Just like a Jack in a box!!! And scream!!( you can just think how the first sport event will go off) I was mad of excitement!! I scream!!!It my baby!!! Jipeee!!!! And then the doc was having the baby in his arms. I did not even listen when I was saying it’s a GIRL!!! So I ask Luv what is it?????? GIRL!! We both shut tears of joy!!! Then the doc was asking where the mother and the father are??a few times and all I could think of why don’t these people listen?? He is calling someone!! Then I heard Suro-sus voice calling for us....only then I realize it is US!!!!!!!!!! We are a mother and a father!! At last!! So Luv cut the cord, very special!!

Then what feel like hours and was only 3minutes the next head show and while they suck out the water . So baby was head out and show-us-your-parts-inside. All you can hear on the video is Suro-sus asking “what is it????? What is it???? And then A BOY!!!!!! And she said MIX!!!!!! MIX MIX MIX We where over JOY!!!! I cut the cord of Nika. The whole theatre experience makes this whole journey REAL!!!!

Then we just stare at the babies while the doc’s and sisters where checking everything!!They both scream when coming out then I knew!! This one’s are alive!!!!!!

Then what feel like hours!!! ( we wait outside ICU while they do all things that need to be done!!!

Wium was struggling allot with his lungs!!so they call me to start skin to skin!! With him immediately . I cried while his was gasping for air!! I was feeling so sorry for him!. Luv had Nika on his chest. This was our first family moment! So special!!

The first hour was critical, and nerve-wrecking and not for the faint hearted!! The alarms went off me and luv just want to cry for our babies!!

We went home late that night....so emotionally drained!! And tired. But we are finally so blessed to be called........ MOM and DAD!!!

On the 28 of September at 14h00, I just know why for 10 years we just could not give up hope all these years...and all the ten-yearic-heartache-tears just disappear in a sec.

Thank you GOD !!! you BLESSED us!!!

Whats-up in our Baby-world?? With our precious gifts in Neonatal (baby) ICU?

First I thought, how will we ever get pass the days, but time fly( when you watch little miracles!!). We touch them and talk to them. I express milk ( not much milk, look like I am going through a drought , but they love the milk and then get more each day. Grow babies, GROW!!!! At the end, this few days of breast milk was worth it!!! But I really wish I can do this for the next few months. Then I need to sterilize everything and then its kangaroo-time ( best part ever!!!! With kangarooing you need to take off your clothes and then the baby lie on your chest. It help allot with growing and then they love to listen to my calm heart beat, ( I think the heart rate was a bit speedy at times. – with suro-sus kids around. So as you can see that’s the reason we only left the babies at ten o’clock at night and if we hit the pillows....we are gone!!!

If you go thought the door, where Wium and Nika are. You must scrub your hands with sterilize soap and then rub it with alcohol stuff!! Washing of hands is taking up several hours. Because you do that every time you touch something. My hands are in sock!! And have never ever have been this clean!!

Now you wonder how is the twinnies ?? They are super cute and we just LOVE EVERY SINGLE BIT OF THEM!!!! Its the best gift ever!!! Sorry for everyone out there, no one will and can ever beat this present that Suro-sus give us!! Its un beatable, folks!! Sorry!!!

Wium was struggling with his lungs the first day , but after a few hours they give him something which I can not tell you what, because of the name. After that he did fine. They just need oxygen after labour and then he got a C-pap. If you have the C-pap on they just look like fighter-pilots!! Wium’s C-pap where taken of first and it was the first time we saw his face. I start crying when I saw him!! Mommy’s very tiny boy. They weigh him and he have lost weight ( 1,7kg) They both have jaundice and are under the lights.

Nika was doing fine but from the second day she was struggling with the breathing its a big thing with prems. Her C-pap was only taken off yesterday, what a sweet-little face!! Today it look like she can maybe have an infection, and with that she have stop once to breathe but recover on her own. I will go out grey here. The alarms are peeping and screaming, but I have seen the sisters in action. They are GOOD!!!!!! And I know they are in the best hands!!

We have got so many visits and calls from people and some people we don’t even know. I make me feel good because I know my story have touch hearts, and this journey can show people that Miracles do HAPPEN daily!!!

For every one out there, with longing hearts, I hope that you can one day be part of a miracle two!!

...and for the record!! Suro-sus feels as if a train hit her, but today she feel fine!!!

Day 1-3 of ICU

HI you all!!

Sorry for not being very present right now!! But I am a very busy mommy!! I am not at the internet so it’s a bit difficult. The birth story I will post over this weekend. I need time to pin point the most wonderful day of my life down and you don’t want to miss out on any detail ( and there was alot!)

So I will just give you details of Wium and Nika doings!!!!!

Day 1 was a hectic day in their lives. They have met their special parents that have waited for them for 10 freaking too long years!! and say goodbye to their tummy-aunty’s-bake-oven.

Wium was suffering with his breathing and Nika was doing fine. After a few hours they did give him something (something for now because I do not know what?? Will found out tomorrow) and then he was fine. They are on normal room air not on oxygen, thats great!!!

They look like fighter-pilots with the hats and pipes they have on!!! They are so cute!!!

We did our fist kangarooing!! This was the best part ever. I undress and they put Wium on my breast and he was holding my thumb!! Luv was having Nika on his breast, he was sitting like a statue!! Very funny, to scared to move!!! They are so tiny!!! Have to say Luv just LOVE his 2 little babies so much!!! If I wonder where he is...you will find him next to one of their little beds!!!

Day 2 they were doing fine at 15h00 Wium did give us, our first scare ( we are 10 years older) while we were looking at him he turn blue!!! I scream at the sister and she react immediately!!( now I know they can look after our babies very nicely and quickly they will react if something happen) We got such a fright!! And just run out of ICU!! It was just a mucus-plug and they got it out, and he was fine. The sister call us to come and have a look to see that he was fine!! GEEE WHIZZZZ we thought he was dying!!! So emotionally I am drained!

Day 3 Wium are doing the better than Nika today!!. Both of them hold our fingers and then they don’t want to let go!! We love it!! I can not tell you how many hours we are in ICU just touching and holding them and we talk to them allot!!

I am proud to anounce that Wium ( 1,9kg) and Nika ( 2kg) was born todat at 2 o'clock.

Both in NICU on oxygen. Boy suffering abit , but are fine now

…and now its 1 more sleep !!!

When I start this journey 10 years ago, it was with much eager and spirit. I was so right for it. But then the journey just have no end and it was full of tears, sorrow and so much heartache. It was plain say “terrible”!! a never ending story with the same ending every time….sorry, we don’t know why.

After all these years I have been FULL OF SCARS with so much pain. About 3 years ago I thought I will never have kids ever, but I still try. I am a believer, a big one!!! And I believe in miracles.

I was always looking at other people’s babies and kids and just WISH!!! I never went to stork parties it was so painful and did not go to hospital to a new born – painful too! I was thinking that IF ever I will be so lucky to have babies nobody will give me support because I did not give any, I just could not do it. But is was fine, and then this journey start and though out the years my family and friends have been there always but NOW!!!

This whole thing is bursting out of his boundaries!!! The support are so huge!! Daily we get so many messages, calls, text’s, hugs, letters, PRAYERS and gifts. And from people I have never ever met in person. It is so much valued. People are out of their minds full of excitement for us. Wowwwww. Still have to pinch myself.

WE CAN JUST THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE, YOU ARE SPECIAL!!!

32 WEEKS!!!!!! And Guess what!!!!!!!

Wednesday half pass one; we are going to meet the most precious, beautiful, special, cute, miracles twin babies!!!!!!!!!!! In the world!!

We are going to be PARENTS!!! Can you believe it!!!!!

We visit the doc today and Suro-sus cervix is hanging on threads!! It’s open!! I could see that on the scan and if there is one thing we don’t want, it’s labouring at home. Not again. When the doc made the call of the due date , I start crying!!! After all these years its happening.

Luv got time to get his ass down here (He is super ecstatic!!) and I need to get the cameras charged and we need to do the last minute waxing and sorting of the suro-sus kids for Wednesday!!

All I can say is WoWWWWWW WoWWWWWW!!!!!

Dont know how I got this not the right way up.. but turn your head side-ways!!! me at 32 weeks!!!!

After 3-4 weeks not being at home....and my mother asking me if I don’t want to quickly go home. I pack my car, and make a great escape, jumping in my car and put my foot on the gas....

It is soooooo wonderful and nice at home for a change. When I got home home last night Luv order a pizzas ( he is such a sweetie!!) and we sat and chat and , I was out of my skin just to have my own things around me. Jippeeee just love my own stuff.

Luv has packed all the stuff that we bought for the twins in one room. Its diapers, car stools, baby stuff ect. It is standing throughout the whole house. This morning I was up and jumping in to do washing....ironing....cleaning...packing things in the baby room. This break is so great for me just to get everything in order again. Luv did wash all the baby clothes , I am so glad for that. Every time I handle the tiny things I want to burst with excitement, because I know the twins are on their way.

My cell phone is glue to my ear in case of TWIN- emergency!!! But I really hope my twins will behave and give me this last break.....after this they can keep me busy for years!!!And as you know when you have you cell phone with you ( I don’t have mine always with me so half the day I and running because where ?? have put it down ) now it is ringing the whole day with people who want to sell something or insurance-stupid-people-who-wants-to sell-it. The cell is killing me!! For now my cell is a twin-baby-call-phone!!

My wonderful( yes sus let mom read this!!) is standing in for me, and is at Suro-sus right now. Dont let the kids kill her she is doing a BIG favour for me!! Thanx MOM!!!! I know you are the one who’s nerves are cracking with this “THINGS” your daughter are doing right now.....RELAX!!!!!!

Got a surprise this morning opening up the door, my garden is full of wonderful blooming flowers!!!

Visits too the doctor is getting most boring now, because nothing happen. Actually its GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!! The babies are sitting like glue – I think it’s because of all the prayers from all over!! These babies are just mending to be miracles and that’s why everything is working out the way it is. While we busy scanning the one baby on the left, the busy one, did not like it at all…the one was kicking like hell!

So the coast is clear and babies are doing fine!! I am so relax about everything. This is not up to us and I know we are in good hands, that was with us all along this journey. We are so bless!!

I have been at my sus for weeks now and miss my house so much, that’s why I have decided …. I am going to hit the road today, just for a very very quick visit to my house a few hours away…. Hope this is a good call. You know how things work : Suro-sus bags are pack, I am pack weesk ago, Luv’s bags are pack weeks ago- WE ARE ORGANIZED!!!! AND NOTHING HAPPEN.

Really hope the twins will give me this quick break not doing funny things. Please give mommy a break!!

31 weeks

Today we are 31 weeks. This is a big milestone!! 31 31 31 31 31 weeks. In the beginning we just hope to get as near as possible to the 30’s and now we are 31 weeks. I don’t think you know how wonderful each day is we pass.

Tomorrow we have another doc’s appointment to measure the cervix and check the little one’s.

I am still do the pumping thing and the milk is getting more each pump (although Suro-sus think it is sooo funny, because you need glasses to spot the milk in the bottle. The last 2 day was much more!.

It is still amazing just to have milk!! I am not pregnant and I can breastfeed!! Wowwwww Wowwwww!!

All we do right now is wait and try to get past each day, and keeping them in for more days. I have not been at my home for weeks now and I MISS MY HOME SO MUCH!!!!!!!! Gosh!!!! I miss my husband and my house and my things around me!!! I have so many stuff I still need to do there!! Hope the fairies will jump in and help.

Just got back for the doc. The twins are doing fine!!! and are so happy inside their 5-star-hotel on legs!! more must I say 3-star the space is not that much anymore!!

The cervix are still close not that much any more but CLOSE!! We will scan on Tuesday again and see what will happen. But for now....the coast is clear.....

Suro-sus kids are getting more and more irritate now. Shame their mother can not pick them up anymore. They must be fed-up with always someone under their feet 24/7. I think they just need their parents to be alone with them for while giving them quality-time. And at weekends Suro-sus husband are home to help. That's why me and Luv ( he is coming down this weekend) are going to hit the road and give them a break this weeked!! after all we are just a phone call away if the twins are making trouble.

A letter for my Miracle twins…

A few months I wrote a letter too you, and ask you to please stick in you Aunty ‘s tummy, because we want you so much!! And you read it, I am so pleased!!!! Because you got stuck!! Jippeeee!!!

So I want to tell you how we can not wait for your arrival soon. Everything is in there place you two. Your room is finish; I am thinking you 2 will love it!! There is no theme and it’s not a baby room, more a toddler room with loads of colour, just like me your mommy’s personality!!

Your dad just finish the electricity last night, so we can put your monitor in. We don’t want sit down stairs and not hear when you two call us.

I can not wait to give you a bath, change you diaper and put you to bed!! Snuggle you little tiny bodies.I will love you smell, I cannot wait to stare at you for hours!! and I can tell you this BE WARE!!! I will not put you down!! People can say I spoil you, I dont care!! I have waited toooooo long!!!!!! I have 10 years of LOVE I want to give you.

Loads of people are sitting on the edge of their chairs waiting for you 2. You are so privileged, because many many people are praying for you. I think that’s why you 2 are sitting like nuts inside your Tummy Aunty.

Today is my blog's 1st Anniversary on this name ZERO GUARANTEES!! Time is flying so quickly!!! and Geeeee Whizzzzzzz look at all that happened.

Last year this time we where waiting for the Court case to go through and proceed with this Suro journey. Try number 2 and 3 pass. I got a positive beta twice and Suro-sus is on the final step of the miracle journey!!! The twins birth!!

Last year this time I was so fed-up and now me and Luv are SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!! I can not tell you what I am feeling!! it will be over rated!!!!

We went to the doc today and the twins are defiantly Miracle's.... everything is still fine!!!!! They have a jol of a time inside my sus. We have start with our first injections for the babies lungs!!!

DRUM ROLLLLLLL!!!!!!!

I am not dried-up anymore!!!! After 9 days of drinking the pills and pumping my breasts once a day. Thursday after the pumping, my one nipple where bit wet. First I thought its so sore maybe my boob has torn. But NO!!!! Can you believe….. It’s the first signs of milk!!

I have to say the pump I am using is the best!! It’s the Medela Pump in Style. And it is sucking my boob’s up-side-down.

One of my newly met twin-mommy-to-be friend, phones me with what to do now to collect the milk. I went and bought injections and now after each pumping session I collect the drops.

Luv was so impress!!! And now for he comedy: This weekend Luv can to Suro-sus and visit us ( we are still on dating, me and him) So after the pumping he is now collecting with the injection needle all the drops from the tubes and my nipples!! Suro-sus kids think it is very funny and I think its funny two. We don’t want to loose a singe drop!!

We have collect 3 tubes now!! This journey never stop to amaze me!!!!

What am I suppose to do?????

I think that when you are the pregnant one, you know what to do and what are expected from you and know what will happen when.

But what when you are the mother?? And are not pregnant?

If you are the pregnant one you know:

# When to go to hospital (some women don’t, if it’s a speedy-water- break)

# to pack your bags and what to put in.

# you will stay a few days in hospital and will get visitors

# you get yourself ready

# Go for the last hair cut

# Get you nail polish remove for theatre

# You shave you legs and got you HOO-HAA wax ( after all you are going to be on theatre-spotlight!!

# You’re cell phone is charge for all the “let-the-world-know-who-just-arrive”

# You’re camera’s is charged for the “photo-shoot-of-the-year”

BUT WHAT IF YOU ARE ME??

# Suro-sus will just tell me “ Its time to go” ( and then I will go into a spin and Luv will start to shiver.

# I will go to hospital, but what must I do?? Where must I sit or stand?? Will I get a room or must I live in my car in the parking load? Will I get visitors and must we better use to coffee shop or scrubbing room?

# and in theatre where will they put us?? Peeping through a window, waiting next to the coffee-vent, or will we stand next to the red-line??

# My hair is cut, but now I think will my babies love my hairstyle??

Or must I quickly put in a few funky colours?? I have had blue in my hair the day we put then back in. Maybe they like blue? Or must it be a mix green, pink, blue, yellow ( oops I hate yellow)

# I love nail colour. , but now will they like the purple that’s on or must I put pink on my nails and green on my toes???

# Its winter time so I don’t need a wax, the nice part this time , is I am not the EXPOSE-ONE (the only nice part) and for the first time ever my HOO-HAA are not going to get ALL THE ATTENTION ( sometimes you need to step down)

# My cell phone are charged the last few months!!!

# and the camera’s…I’ve got arsenal of camera’s line-up. There is not a change in space I am going to miss the MIRACLE OF THIS LIFETIME!!!

Whats going on in Suro-Twin-Aunty-household????

Nothing!!! She is lying down most of time, the 4 years old is in school in the morning and I and the 2 year old went for last minute shopping!! ( everybody asking if its my kid?? NO!!! mine's on their way...)

I really hope the twins stay in as long as possible!!! the longer they stay in the quicker we can go home. To our home. The home I miss the whole time!! and I miss their father the most!! JEEEEE I miss LUV!!!! our relationship feel at this moment like a dating-thing. ( have to say I am defiantly date the most gorgeous, lovable man in the whole wide world!!) Miss you luv xxxxxx

I am so excited , but one thing I am scares of is the theatre!!! I am not scared of the doctors, or the whole labour thing...I am scared that the moment things are going to happen.... my throat will clog and log up and then its when the waterfall of tears will come. What if I miss the whole experience , because I could not see!!! I cried to much

29 weeks and things are happening...

Just got back from the doctor and Suro-sus serviks open up more. The doctor say things can happen in the next 2 weeks maybe, but we are going to take it day by day from now. Monday we will have our next check-up.

Suro-sus are getting more uncomfortable by the minute, but she is keeping up great!! except for her nerves!!.

I am getting more and more excited. Jumping from the walls. Things are happening so quickly now. This journeys is sooooo near the end. I have not read anything, found out anythings, did not diet, I just eat!!( nerves??) and I just don't have a care in the world. Just want my babies!!!!!

Its killing me more and more to see what the gender will be. I am so glad we have left this surprise to the end!!!!!!!!

When I past the hospital this morning the flags of the babies that was born was hanging, and all I can think of is ....what flags are we going to hang!!!!

We are 29 weeks and I don't know how we got here. We are soooo near!!! and if there is one thing we don't want to miss its, the birth of our miracle-twinnies!!!! so its Sunday night and tomorrow I will go to Suro-sus for the week and maybe till the end. So you can just imagine how the car look!!

...because I pack everything, from what would I like to wear, things to keep me busy, last minute-projects. i am not good at making up my mind so then....I pack everything I see and what I think I will need.

The weekend we by so quickly, and its nice for me to do nice things with Luv, soon we will not be alone( thanks for that) so we enjoy this last-minute-just-us-sleeping-late-eating-out-doing-us-things!!!

All the babies bags are pack, so if I am in Cape Town and Luv got the call, he just need to grap all the stuff on the bed ( car seats, hopitalbag, leaving hospital things) I am so organize its unbelievable. Its not me. But its the excited me that took over!

Tuesday is our next scan I can not wait!!!!

This may sound ridiculous but I would really love to breastfeed. Why this I cannot tell you, I just want to do it!! The easy way out is defiantly I am not pregnant....I don’t have milk...my babies is going to do the bottle-thing and twins is double the milky-trouble.

Its not a issue if, it do not work out, but I want to take a change, and try.( I love taking risks, that’s why I am here today) I have nothing to lose after all. I was trying for months now to ask around what to do and how. Going around and around and at the end I think nobody know when and where.

So now, yestererday I have started with my trying-to-get-milk-out-of-this-dried-out-cow. I need to drink pills ( its like The “happy-pill” you drink for depression) and this is weird for me, it freak me out a bit. Because after 10 years of IF this is the EVERY FIRST “Happy pills” I pop, and for milk and not for depression.

So I am drinking pills and do stimulation with a breatpump daily...and the BIG thing... when will I have milk???? How long will this take to kick-in??? Will it ever happen???? We will have to wait and see... will let you now.

I have start with this now , because my hormones need some milky-wake-up-call and what if I miss this bus and milk only arrive when the twins already start eating with their own knife and fork??

Yes, we got our pram and we just love it!! Can not wait to put the twins in and go for a walk. But this will happen must later, I suppose.

this pram so cool. It can turn 360 degrees. It weigh 10 kg so I can pick it up easily. I can unfold it in.....YES!!!!! 1 second and turn it to its normal position in ....YES 1 second.

and the best it can fit through a normal door!!!

28 weeks!!

We are 28 weeks and 1 day ( can you believe we have made it to here). After a month we have just had our scan. Don’t know how I have kept it up for a month. But I was thinking, if I can wait a month, the time will fly.

Today I was so excited so see them again…and what a BIG surprise!!!

Twin A was measuring at 1,6 kg ( pick up 1kg in this month) I was scared that the one twin have swallow the other one. But the other one was measuring at 1,4kg. They are sooooo big and we are over the moon!!!!

… and I saw the scale when the doc was weighing Sus, and drum roll …..She have pick up 3, 5kg!!. She is one of those lucky one’s that loose her own body weight and just the babies pick up. They are measuring ahead!!

The one is a leisure one , lying stretching out, taking up all the space and the poor other one is curling up in a very strange Yoga position.

The doc put the 4D on and that cute little face is adorable!!!

Doc say everything is fine and the hospital is excited for our labour. Sus bags are pack and I am pack for months now. My whole life is in my car.

Look like the resting of Suro-sus is doing the twins good!!! For the 17 week scare she is a bence- potato!

Just for the record: I am in total EXCITED MOOD!!!!

Stork weekend

This weekend me and Luv went to my parents farm, My mother and brother gave us a storktea with all the Auntie's( and their hubbies) that I know from childwood, friends and family. They are all out of there skins from excitement!!!! and can not wait!! I think after the party the twins have everything!! with every parcel I opened, I realize what a wonderful circle of support we have!!!

This is my Grandma of 90 ( she look great), she have knit this jackets for me. She just want to meet the twins!!

I am at Suro-sus at the moment. Its nice , but we can see her kids know something are going to happen. So they want to know every single second of the day….”Where is Mommy???”

They can not wait for the babies, to hold them in their arms. The 2 years old one think there is 8 babies in her tummy so soon, Sus will hand me mine and then they will have the 8 with them ( Sus will crack if any babies stay behind.)

So what’up in SURO-WORLD…..

HOW FAR NOW? 27 weeks and 4 days. Still can not believe we are here.

SYMPTONS? Heartburn the moment she eat a thing and soooo tired!!!

STRECH MARKS? Yes, defiantly! But there was already for her previous pregnancies. Strechmark creams are not doing their thing.

WEIGHT GAIN ? More or less 3 and a half, will see Tuesday at the scan.

SLEEP? Struggle to get a nice angle. Uncomfortable a lot. Don’t sleep like she would have loved to do. Want to sleep the whole day!!

MOVEMENT? Feel it a lot. Baby A is more calm than the fellow-womb-partner. Baby B never go to sleep, this is the kicker!!!!

FOODCRAVINGS? None, just go on as normal!

MILESTONES? Just to get to this point!!

EMOTIONS? Irritated with her kids that just want to play the whole day and never stop.

GENERAL? Cannot think her bump must still get bigger and bigger. Would love her normal life back ( me too!!)

Names....names...names????

The one thing that is on everybody’s lips is…….DO YOU HAVE NAMES????? And my answer is:

NO!!!! We don’t have names!!

Everything is still such a wonderful miracle and I think we still just can not believe what's about to happen soon. And because we don’t know what’s going to pop… we don’t have names and we need 2 of each names.( one is already a problem..) Actually we just want the babies, names are a side-order.

Names are so easy till the second you need one for your babies…then the big fun start.

If you go the family-name way, you know more or less what route to go, but we have decided long, long, long, time ago. NO family names at ALL!! Because we have seen so many times that the one with grandpa’s or mon’s name is the favourite. If there is one thing me and Luv hate , then its unfairness. My MIL ( mother in law) is already going like a parrot about the boy…boy…boy…( what if there is not a boy??? What if there is a boy, the other one, boy or girl, will just be there… She is defiantly going to get a surprise, because for her its all about the family-name.

So where do you then start. When I am thinking of a name…Luv just hate it. And when Luv comes up with a name, Its funny for me, or I just hate it.

We don’t know what we like , and to be honest we don’t like any names..so we’ve got a problem a BIG one!!

Then we’ve got a long surnames and long names so when you need to do paper work you start writing down for years getting your ancestors, that are under the ground names, that you’ve have got, along the way down. SO NO!!!!

We want easy name’s, short names, names that you can pronounce in English and it don’t sound, as if you have some or other incurable disease or coming for a space-island.

I think we will, the moment the babies will be born , will look and see some or other medicine name and names them after it. What about “Band” and “Aid” or “Det” and Tol”????

Actually the only names that will suit them best will be..

Hope and Patience… because that is what we have done all these years….

Suro-sus ex-neighbour-friend with all her friends that want to give me a shower. It was so weird opening prezzies and you dont know anyone at all. But they were all so excited for us!! people that I dont even know is making this whole journey so special! At the left is, Suro-sus, she look great!

She is not a knitter but she have specially knit this for the babies.

Today Suro-sus EX-Neighbour-friend invite us to come and have tea with her. I have met her and I like her allot!! She is just one of that amazing people. You just like her the minute you met her!!.

She and her friends are having a "stitch and bitch-club" where they meet and then they all do some kind of a hobby , but most its about the nice chats and cake and coffee.

So today she invite us and when we arrive.....SHE WAS GIVING ME A SURPRISE STORK TEA!!!

There I was with a room full of strangers. I only knew my sister's friend. 14 ladies that was giving me gifts for the babies!! Its people like this that make you think how super friends are. These people knew my story and are follow it all the way, and they don't even knew me!!!I was sitting there with tears in my eyes, some off them also was having tears, because they care for me ( the stranger)

I got so nice things!!! cannot wait to show them to Luv. Will put pic's on next week when I am home again.

...and I also got my PRAM!!!!!!!!!!!

This week I am with Suro-sus again for the week. We are 26 weeks!! Sus is getting bigger...and I think I am getting calmer day by day... May be because deep down in me I know we are going to be all right!!

and we are getting excited to know whats inside... thats going to be a BIG surprise!!!! I can not wait for the moment the doctor will lift up the babies and we will know.... what its going to be!!

Every single day is a day nearer to the end, jippee!!!

There is still allot that needs to be done.. but who cares.

Sorry for the triple pic-post Friday, that’s what happens if everything must happen immediately and you press the button continuously because it’s too slow for you. But that’s my personality!!! You can just think what IF have done to me, after all the years, that learned me to WAIIIIIITTTTTTT AND WAAIIIITTTTTTTTTT!!!

I like gadgets that make the world and easier place to life in. but sometimes I have lost it BIG TIME like now.

Me and Luv don’t watch TV much, so we are not heavy on TV stuff ( I like Movies!!) so believe it or not ,we still have a Video-Recorder with that very old video-tapes. One of my friends and I, have still this ancients-treasures. But after a power failure mine…..just did not come alive!! ( BIG PROBLEM!!) because we still record some programme for each other…so

I went to the shop and ask if they still have a video-recorders. NO!!! Okay do you have a DVD-recorders? That must be the next step….NO!!! And the guy ask me. “Where have you been Miss???” I was feeling like a dinosaur!! Ancient and OLD!!!

SO now I have no recording equipment and must come to terms that I have been left behind!!!

Me and Luv are getting so many lovely things from people we know well and people we don’t always know.

All these people are sooooo excited for us, and it is an eye-opener to see how super excited these people are for us. Its is really touching our heart's on so many ways.

One of my clients, or must I say “has-been-clients” was on holiday and she saw this book. She was telling me the moment she saw it, she was thinking of us and immediately bought the book. It’s a story of twin daughters and she said you don’t get many books with twins in!! That’s a fact.

Its is so special, because I know she bought it for us and it’s a special gift from her heart.

And so ...many things are arriving at our home and these people specially bought it for us!!

Gorgeous is turning 2!!

Today Suro-sus, little one is turning 2!!! And as you can see it's a BEE-PARTY!! and she bake the cake. Not only a good-suro... she is good birthday-cake-maker two!!

The 2 busy bee's at the party!!! Cute outfits!!!

I still remember the first time we saw the doctor to start the Suro-route, the little one was 3 months old!! and now she is 2!.

From the front she dont look pregnant... she look much better than me!!!

The bump is getting bigger by the day!!

So we went to the Baby-Indaba and it was really not worth it at all. Nothing new or interesting. Same old stuff and if you have visited the baby-shops, you have seen it all. Only thing that was funny was the people that want to show suro-sus the pregnant stuff, and she said that she was not interested at all!! And when I ask something they want to know why??? Are you planning to get pregnant soon??? And I wanted to say , yes am pregnant don’t I look fantastic????

It’s so nice to be back at home again this week!! It’s not that bad to be with my sus but it’s just nice to be around my own stuff for awhile and Luv…I miss him so much!!
